FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK….

As you already know, Father Charles will be departing Sacred Heart in late July. A Mass of farewell and reception are scheduled for July 25th. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Charles for being a trusted confidant, faithful parochial vicar, and good friend.

Holding the position of pastor can, sometimes, be stressful. Having a trusted confidant, like Charles, who understands the issues at hand and allows me to speak my peace knowing that it will not go any further will be missed. Thank you for being that listening ear.

As pastor, I could always rely on Charles to carry his load of work, and on occasion, some of mine. Charles’ love of God and of His people is demonstrated by the care and attention he gives to liturgical preparation. Charles’ excellent presiding style and good preaching will leave a void not easily filled.

Missed most of all, will be the time spent in front of the TV or at the counter in the kitchen eating and sharing thoughts and feelings of the day. You have been a good and trusted friend. May God bless you on all your future endeavors and reward you for the good you have done.
